TIPS FOR A BETTER APPLICATION:
Research. Document the need for your project or program with data from outside sources such as the U.S. Census, housing or income data, or educational outcomes provided by the local school district. Know what the best practices are for your program type.
Follow Instructions. Be sure to provide the information requested and answer each question in the application. If you are unsure about how to answer a question, it may be helpful to call the Foundation office.
Results: Goals and Outcomes. Describe what your project or program will accomplish using specific and measureable goals. Be sure to focus on the long-term change in individual lives, families, and the community, based on accurate data. Decide in advance how this information will be collected and who will be responsible for it.
Review. Always review the entire application before submitting it. Check for clarity, spelling, and completeness. Make sure the need, approach, and desired outcomes are demonstrated and they are connected with the mission of the Foundation: “Focusing Resources to Change Lives.”
